The role
They are currently seeking an Associate Director to join their team, focusing on statutory planning, development approvals, strategic planning, and rezoning preparation and management. You will play a key role in advising clients across various sectors, preparing detailed planning reports, managing projects, and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice within the NSW statutory and strategic land use planning framework.
  • Prepare and review planning documentation such as Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements, Planning Proposals, Legal Briefs, and others.
  • Engage with clients and government stakeholders, managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Contribute to business development activities including fee proposals and tender submissions.
What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding of NSW environmental planning legislation.
  • Experience in statutory planning, development approvals, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior staff is advantageous.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to business development.
