The role
They are currently seeking an Associate Director to join their team, focusing on statutory planning, development approvals, strategic planning, and rezoning preparation and management. You will play a key role in advising clients across various sectors, preparing detailed planning reports, managing projects, and mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert advice within the NSW statutory and strategic land use planning framework.
- Prepare and review planning documentation such as Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements, Planning Proposals, Legal Briefs, and others.
- Engage with clients and government stakeholders, managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Contribute to business development activities including fee proposals and tender submissions.
- Strong understanding of NSW environmental planning legislation.
- Experience in statutory planning, development approvals, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff is advantageous.
