Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across design, specifications, scopes of work, and design packages
- Drive technical aspects of contract negotiations (design, equipment, construction, connection)
- Act as Subject Matter Expert – review/approve designs to meet standards & compliance
- Review EPC designs and deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams
- Prepare RFQs and support tendering processes (technical/commercial assessments)
- Source, assess, and manage contractors and suppliers
- Evaluate tenders and prepare recommendations
- Ensure regulatory compliance across designs and contracts
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders during design, construction & commissioning
- Support testing and commissioning in line with Australian and international standards
- Work with Grid Connection Manager and NSPs on connection options and agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years’ HV and complex electrical project experience
- Strong track record across development and delivery
- Proven ability managing consultants and contractors
- EPC/consultancy experience in HV design highly regarded
- Deep knowledge of HV systems, substations, BoP, and generator connection processes
- Strong understanding of Australian/international standards and regulations
- CAD capability and project delivery experience (site, construction, commissioning)
- Skilled in risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project)
- Familiarity with NEM or WEM advantageous
