Our client is a leading renewable energy business seeking a Legal Counsel with 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience. This role offers exposure to both corporate/commercial legal work and compliance frameworks across a large portfolio of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and timely legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, including environmental, health & safety, and anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws.
• Conduct investigations into potential compliance breaches and manage audits.
• Support the business with risk identification and mitigation strategies.

About You

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admitted to practice in NSW.
• 3–6 years post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law, ideally with in-house exposure.
• Industry experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure, or other highly regulated sectors preferred.
• Experience in compliance program development, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
