Join a leading national hire company supplying EWP and access equipment to major infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects across Australia. We’re looking for a qualified EWP Mechanic to carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and more.
Our client is a fast-growing access and plant hire business with a strong national footprint. They supply modern, safety-compliant machinery to tier-one builders, subcontractors, and government clients — with a reputation for reliability, compliance, and prompt service.
You’ll be working on a wide range of electric and diesel-powered EWP equipment, both in the workshop and out in the field, keeping the fleet safe, operational, and compliant to AS2550 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, and repair a wide range of EWP and access equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Perform breakdown repairs on-site and in the workshop as needed
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections
- Complete pre-hire and post-return checks and testing
- Keep detailed service records and logbooks in line with WHS standards
- Liaise with service coordinators for job scheduling and parts
- Adhere to manufacturer specs, Australian standards, and company procedures
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, or Mechanical Trade
- 3–5+ years’ experience working on EWP, access gear, or lifting equipment
- Hands-on experience with boom lifts, scissor lifts, mast lifts, telehandlers, or similar
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, engines, electrics, and safety systems
- White Card (Construction Induction) – Essential
- Current Driver’s Licence – Essential
- EWP or High-Risk Work Licence – Highly regarded
- Familiarity with Genie, JLG, Haulotte, Snorkel, Skyjack or similar brands
- Ability to work independently and respond to field service requests
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
