Permanent Role | Competitive Pay | Workshop + Field Work

Join a leading national hire company supplying EWP and access equipment to major infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects across Australia. We’re looking for a qualified EWP Mechanic to carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and more.

Our client is a fast-growing access and plant hire business with a strong national footprint. They supply modern, safety-compliant machinery to tier-one builders, subcontractors, and government clients — with a reputation for reliability, compliance, and prompt service.

You’ll be working on a wide range of electric and diesel-powered EWP equipment, both in the workshop and out in the field, keeping the fleet safe, operational, and compliant to AS2550 standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, inspect, and repair a wide range of EWP and access equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Perform breakdown repairs on-site and in the workshop as needed
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections
  • Complete pre-hire and post-return checks and testing
  • Keep detailed service records and logbooks in line with WHS standards
  • Liaise with service coordinators for job scheduling and parts
  • Adhere to manufacturer specs, Australian standards, and company procedures
What You’ll Need
  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, or Mechanical Trade
  • 3–5+ years’ experience working on EWP, access gear, or lifting equipment
  • Hands-on experience with boom lifts, scissor lifts, mast lifts, telehandlers, or similar
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, engines, electrics, and safety systems
  • White Card (Construction Induction) – Essential
  • Current Driver’s Licence – Essential
  • EWP or High-Risk Work Licence – Highly regarded
  • Familiarity with Genie, JLG, Haulotte, Snorkel, Skyjack or similar brands
  • Ability to work independently and respond to field service requests
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
Why Work With Us?
  • Work for a nationally recognised access hire company with a strong project pipeline
  • Modern fleet of access equipment and solid investment in tools and gear
  • Long-term, stable role with consistent hours and support
  • Be part of a professional and down-to-earth workshop team
  • Competitive pay + site and travel allowances where applicable
