This leading civil construction company who are highly established in the market are seeking a HR Officer to support a busy HR function and make sure everything runs smoothly. This role is for someone who has a passion for people and thrives in a dynamic, fast paced role!
The Role:
This firm holds an extremely tight knit Human Resources department and this role will keep you on your toes working for such a diverse company.
Your day to day will consists of the following:
- Policy development, implementation and updating
- Support and deliver exciting HR projects and initiatives
- Contribute to the effective operation and development of the HR function
- HR system improvements and implementation
- Compliance activities
- Employee relations case management
- 3-5 years’ experience minimum as a HR Coordinator/ Generalist within civil construction and or mining.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or similar
- Proven ER/IR management, including investigations and disciplinary processes (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards, and IR frameworks
- Experienced in HR projects: policy updates, system rollouts, or organisational change
- Excellent organisational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High discretion and professionalism with sensitive matters
- Experience with HRIS (e.g., ELMO) (desirable)
- Strong communication skills on all levels
- Good attention to detail
- Can do attitude
