About the Role
As a Wind Farm Service Technician, you will be responsible for the ongoing electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and servicing of wind turbines and associated systems. This is a site-based role, working outdoors and at heights, as part of a skilled and safety-conscious team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on wind turbines and related equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults on LV and HV electrical systems
- Conduct inspections, testing, and component replacements
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and regulatory standards
- Accurately complete service records and maintenance documentation
- Participate in a rotating on-call roster (1 in every 3 weeks)
- 4-day work week (10-hour days)
- 40 hours per week
- On-call duties 1 in every 3 days (shared roster)
- A-Grade Electrical License
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in remote locations
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Experience in the wind or broader renewable energy sector
- HV Switching qualifications
- Working at Heights and High-Risk Work Licences
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Permanent full-time position with stable hours
