About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive WHS Advisor to join a major construction project in Adelaide. The role is a 10 month contract supporting a high value build, providing hands-on health, safety, and compliance leadership across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of WHS frameworks.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legislative and company safety requirements.
- Assist in incident reporting and investigations, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Deliver WHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including reporting to regulators as required.
- Collaborate with project teams to promote a proactive safety culture across the site.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Must have experience working with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport
- Proven experience as a WHS Advisor in construction projects, ideally with multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Strong knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site.
- Current construction White Card and relevant high-risk work tickets are desirable.
