Nordex Oceania Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of the Nordex Group, which was established in Australia to further expand the business and offer a truly global presence in all major wind markets in the world. Nordex has been operating in the Australian market for six years with a commendable history of developing local Australian workforce for the Australian wind industry. Past Projects under Nordex in Australia include the 35 wind turbine Mortlake South Wind Farm (VIC), and the 44 wind turbine Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm (VIC), which have made significant contributions to local communities. With a total of 162 Nordex Delta 4000-N163/5.7 turbines and 924MW total output, the MacIntyre Wind Farm will be Nordex’s biggest single wind farm facility globally and one of the largest onshore wind farms in the world. The project will generate enough renewable energy to power over 700,000 households with almost 3 million tons of CO2 avoided, as well as provide significant economic activity across the Goondiwindi, Southern Downs and Toowoomba Regional Council areas.
The Role
As a Contract Administrator, you will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee all aspects of contract administration, from pre-contract activities through to project execution. You will ensure compliance with contractual obligations, manage variations and extensions of time (EOTs), and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit variations, EOTs, and formal letters in accordance with contract requirements.
- Develop and implement contract administration processes, procedures, and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of contract documentation, correspondence, and approvals.
- Work closely with the Project Manager in the administration of the contract.
- Monitor contract performance, key dates, and deliverables to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with subcontractors and 3rd parties to resolve any contractual issues.
- Support procurement activities, including scope development and subcontract agreements.
- Contribute to project reporting and risk management processes.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with licensing, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support pre-contract activities, including risk assessments and documentation preparation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in contract administration within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Experience in project execution required
- Strong understanding of standard construction contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
