We're representing a leading manufacturer currently seeking an experienced Shift Maintenance Fitter to join their team at a large-scale, high-volume production facility located in Taree, NSW. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term stability, ideal for candidates open to relocating for the right role.
 
The Role
Working on a rotating shift roster across a 7-day working week, you'll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of automated production equipment. This hands-on role plays a key part in minimising downtime and supporting a proactive maintenance culture across the site.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
  • Ensure timely documentation of all maintenance tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
About You
  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering or equivalent).
  • Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts (days, afternoons, nights, weekends).
  • Safety-focused with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Willing and able to relocate to Taree, NSW for a long-term opportunity.
