About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with an electrical background to step into a Junior Project Manager position. You’ll support the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and energy projects, working closely with site teams and senior project managers. With a strong foundation in electrical work, you’ll bring practical insight to project delivery while gaining hands-on experience in scheduling, cost control, and stakeholder coordination.
This role can be based anywhere in East Coast of Australia, with travel to project sites on 2/1 roaster.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking progress across all phases of the project
- Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to monitor daily operations and ensure timelines are met
- Maintain and organize project documentation including safety records, reports, and communications
- Assist in cost control, procurement coordination, and budget tracking
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, supporting reporting and updates to senior management
- Identify potential risks, delays, or issues and support solutions in coordination with the team
- Electrical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology)
- 3/4+ years of on-site experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy projects
- Exposure to project coordination, site leadership, or supervisor-level responsibilities
- Interest in progressing into a full project management role
- Basic knowledge of project scheduling and reporting tools (MS Project, P6, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and an organized, proactive approach
- Construction White Card and valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Australia when needed
