About the Role:

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to support the delivery of major construction projects across Sydney. You’ll be embedded in a site-based team, reporting to the HSEQ Manager, and will be responsible for driving safety initiatives, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive safety culture on site. This is a senior role with real autonomy, impact, and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and systems on-site
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation
  • Lead incident investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the site team with safety advice, reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training sessions
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain high safety standards
  • Contribute to project planning to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks
To Be Successful:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar HSE role within commercial construction (ideally Tier 1 or Tier 2)
  • A solid understanding of WHS legislation and ISO 45001
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage across all levels
  • A proactive, practical approach to safety and risk management
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training (desirable)
