About the Role:
Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to support the delivery of major construction projects across Sydney. You’ll be embedded in a site-based team, reporting to the HSEQ Manager, and will be responsible for driving safety initiatives, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive safety culture on site. This is a senior role with real autonomy, impact, and room to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and systems on-site
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation
- Lead incident investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the site team with safety advice, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Facilitate toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training sessions
- Collaborate with subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain high safety standards
- Contribute to project planning to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HSE role within commercial construction (ideally Tier 1 or Tier 2)
- A solid understanding of WHS legislation and ISO 45001
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage across all levels
- A proactive, practical approach to safety and risk management
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training (desirable)
