The Role
The successful Project Manager is responsible for delivering stage 1 of a large industrial development worth $60M. As the successful Project Manager, you require strong strategic leadership across client engagement, procurement, design, and project delivery.
Responsibilities and duties:
Project Planning: Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and timelines. Developing comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and budgets.
Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of skilled professionals, including architects, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensuring clear communication channels and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Quality Control: Implementing strict quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the highest standards are met. Conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly
Budget Management: Monitoring project finances, tracking expenditures, and managing cost-control strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans to avoid any project delays or budget overruns.
Client Relations: Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing regular project updates. Addressing any concerns or changes efficiently and professionally.
Compliance: Ensuring all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification, degree or higher education
- Minimum of 8 - 12 years experience in a similar commercial construction environment
- Project Management experience within construction, fit out and refurbishment
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with the client, subcontractors and consultants
- Competent user of Procore or similar software
