Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the design process for ground engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to develop cohesive design solutions for shoring, piling, anchoring, and shotcreting works.
  • Strong Structural / Geotechnical Design proficiency. 
  • Review and assess design documentation for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with regulations.
  • Facilitate design meetings and workshops to drive project progress and resolve design issues.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design milestones in alignment with construction schedules.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a design coordination role within the civil construction industry, preferably with exposure to ground engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Australian building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
