About the Role
This is a two-year non-ongoing contract within the Stakeholder Relations team, reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Relations. During the pre-construction phase, you will also report to relevant Development Managers, and during construction, to EPC Managers. As the Community Liaison Officer, you will manage stakeholder engagement, local content, First Nations relations, and ESG reporting for renewable energy projects in Victoria and New South Wales.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Implement Stakeholder Engagement Plans, liaise with stakeholders, organize events, and maintain registers.
- Source and recommend community engagement opportunities.
- Organize and support high-level meetings between the company and key stakeholders.
- Local Content and Employment
- Maintain registers of local content and First Nations suppliers.
- Organize Supplier Nights and support the promotion of local employment opportunities.
- Record and report on local content and employment figures.
- First Nations and Environmental Groups
- Build and support relationships with First Nations organizations and environmental NGOs.
- Communications
- Develop stories for LinkedIn, press releases, and media inquiries.
- Assist with organizing events and managing media relations.
- Maintain project websites and create collateral to support engagement plans.
- Grievance Mechanism
- Manage grievance mechanisms and coordinate resolutions.
- ESG Reporting
- Coordinate ESG reporting for projects.
- 3+ years of experience in community engagement.
- Strong understanding of construction within the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental and/or First Nations issues and organizations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
