About the Role:

As the Grid Connection Manager, you play a pivotal role alongside the development and technical services teams to drive the network connections process and obtain connection approvals across the development portfolio (wind, solar hydbrid, battery storage, etc.). 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end grid connection process for renewable energy projects, from feasibility through to commissioning.
  • Engage with AEMO, TNSPs/NSPs, and consultants to ensure full compliance with the National Electricity Rules (NER) and Generator Performance Standards (GPS).
  • Oversee power system studies and modelling (PSSE, PSCAD), including the preparation and submission of R0–R2 packages.
  • Provide clear technical guidance throughout development and construction phases to ensure all grid-related requirements are met.
  • Proactively manage connection risks and provide solutions to grid compliance challenges as they arise.
  • Collaborate with commercial and legal teams to provide grid-related input for contracts, negotiations, and project agreements.
Skills & Experience
  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Experience in a development environment will be highly regarded
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and conduct power system studies independently.  
  • 2-3 years experience in grid compliance for the development of renewable projects with established relationships with AEMO and Transmission Service Provider
