With a workforce of approximately 70 people on-site and an impressive pipeline of work, this is a long-term opportunity for a proven leader who brings strong commercial skills and client-facing expertise.

The Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of key civil infrastructure projects while leading a capable and cohesive team. You will have five direct reports — a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Graduate Engineer, Contract Administrator, and Admin Officer — and overall responsibility for site performance, client liaison, financial outcomes, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Manage day-to-day operations and site personnel, promoting collaboration and accountability.
- Monitor commercial performance, risk, and project financials with a sharp focus on profitability.
- Act as the primary client interface, building strong stakeholder relationships based on trust and performance.
- Negotiate and manage contract variations and claims with confidence and clarity.
- Drive safety culture and ensure full compliance with industry and company standards.
- Ideally a minimum of 8–10 years of experience in civil infrastructure project management.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, contracts, and financial outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder and client relationship skills.
- Proven leadership ability, with experience managing site-based teams in regional or remote settings.
- Must have full Australian work rights.
- Willing to be based in or relocate to the Cairns region.
