Our Story

ACRWORLD (initially trading as AustCorp Recruitment) was established in 2001 as Australia’s first expat recruitment company. Our focus was in servicing Australian architects, engineers, construction and property personnel looking for international career opportunities, we quickly became the ‘go-to’ agency for international roles. With rapid growth in the pre-GFC boom, our services evolved and soon we were placing large project leadership teams on some of the world’s most technically challenging projects.

Evolution & Expansion

Although our focus had been on international roles, candidates often asked us to help them find a job on their return to Australia. In 2006, we expanded into the domestic market and offered a full return service.

With a database of experienced Australian professionals, who had worked in internationally-recognised projects, we were in a unique position to offer highly-qualified candidates for hard-to-fill roles back home.

Refocusing & Rebranding

By 2008, we had changed our name to ACRWORLD and were generating about 80% of our business from overseas placements with a small but growing team recruiting for roles in Australia. The GFC hit us and our clients in the Middle East in January 2009. We needed to react quickly to the new market conditions and within a year, we had successfully switched our attention to the less impacted Australian market and were generating 80% of our revenue from clients across Australia.

2010 saw the start of the resources boom in Australia. Good timing for us with 9 years experience in international resources recruitment. Our database of candidates with major international project experience became invaluable.

The resources boom meant we were in a position to recruit nationally for major projects. And by the time the boom ended in 2013, we adapted to concentrate our efforts on the growing NSW and Vic architecture, building, property, transportation and renewable energy markets, opening a Melbourne office in 2016.

Our focus is on the Building & Property, Transportation, Renewable Energy & Manufacturing markets.

We provide personnel through the full project lifecycle from project leaders to blue collar trades and all associated business support staff.
