We are recruiting an Installation Technical Advisor - Electrical to support wind turbine construction activities in regional NSW. This site-based role suits an experienced electrical professional with strong supervisory capability and a safety-first mindset.
What's on offer
- Daily rate: $95/hr (inclusive of super)
- $65 daily per diem
- 3:1 roster (Mon-Sat)
- Flights, accommodation, vehicle and fuel provided
Key responsibilities
- Provide on-site electrical and technical support during turbine installation
- Support installation planning, logistics, tooling and equipment coordination
- Conduct pre-installation checks and site assessments
- Guide subcontractors in line with work instructions and safety requirements
- Perform quality inspections during and after installation
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical installation issues
- Lead and participate in pre-start and safety briefings
- Ensure compliance with safety, EHS and electrical standards
- Support hands-on training where required
- Manage NCRs and corrective actions
- Read and interpret drawings, manuals and specifications
- Complete quality, installation and as-built documentation
- Oversee installation tooling and coordinate equipment returns
Qualifications and certifications
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (minimum)
- NSW Electrical Supervisor Licence (A-Grade) - mutual recognition accepted
- GWO Basic Safety Training
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training (can be updated if expired)
- White Card
- Valid Australian or International Driver's Licence (English translation required)
Experience
Mandatory
- Supervisory experience in wind turbine installation, construction or heavy industry
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Safety-focused approach
- Willingness to travel and work on remote sites
- Intermediate MS Office skills
Desirable
- Site management experience
- High Voltage installation experience
- Mechanical LOTO experience
- Wind turbine installation experience
- GWO Basic Technical Training
