Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine and enhance advanced trading, forecasting and hedging models.
- Produce high-quality market insights and recommendations to optimise trading strategies.
- Conduct analysis across domestic and international energy and commodity markets.
- Translate complex quantitative outputs into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior analysts within the team.
- 6+ years’ experience in energy trading, energy analytics, commodity markets or a similar quantitative role.
- Strong understanding of portfolio valuation techniques, trading systems and commercial drivers.
- Advanced technical capability across Excel (including VBA), Python and SQL, with experience in Tableau or Power BI.
- Highly autonomous, commercially minded and intellectually curious.
- Tertiary degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering or economics.
