About the Role
As a HV Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of high-voltage equipment and MV lines at the Armidale Solar Farm. You’ll be responsible for programming and allocating resources to ensure optimal efficiency while adhering to safety standards and environmental best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV/MV equipment, including switchgear, inverters, transformers, feeders, and PV arrays, and carry out HV switching and inspections.
- Identify and resolve electrical faults, support SCADA monitoring, and ensure compliance with grid requirements.
- Act as a Permit Holder, preparing safety and switching documentation, and manage work orders in the CMMS.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, HV operations, system performance, and prepare required reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors and stakeholders to meet safety standards, regulations, and company policies while promoting continuous improvement.
- A valid QLD “A Grade” Electrical License is essential.
- Ability to maintain a HV Operator License (essential).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-trade experience.
- Basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
- Current manual driver’s license.
