Contract Site Manager – Defence Project Refurbishment

We are partnering with a tier one contractor delivering a complex refurbishment within a live defence environment. This project requires an experienced Site Manager who is confident managing high security protocol, tight staging, and construction activities around ongoing operations.

The Role
You will oversee all day to day site operations and ensure works are delivered safely, to program, and in line with strict security and compliance expectations. This role suits someone steady, organised, and capable of running a high pressure environment with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage all site based activities across refurbishment works
• Coordinate trades, logistics, daily scheduling, and short term programming
• Ensure full compliance with defence security processes and access requirements
• Maintain quality assurance and WHS standards
• Communicate with the Project Manager, client reps, and facility personnel
• Oversee works in a live operational environment with minimal disruption

Clearance Requirements
• DCAC clearance is essential
• NV1 clearance is highly regarded

About You
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or defence related projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work within strict security, access, and documentation processes
• Confident managing trades, sequencing, and high pressure milestones
• Solid understanding of WHS, quality, and compliance
