About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join on permanent nights. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, reactive and breakdown maintenance on all production and packaging equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions to reduce downtime
- Carry out routine inspections and mechanical adjustments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and machine optimisation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams across night operations
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding ability across conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and general plant equipment
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Solid understanding of WHS, GMP and food safety requirements
- Permanent night shift (10pm-6am, Sun-Thu)
