We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded EPC contractor delivering a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Regional Victoria. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager on a short-term contract (3 to 6 months) to drive key stages of project delivery through construction and early commissioning.
This is a hybrid role involving time split between the site in regional Victoria and the Melbourne head office. It’s ideal for a contract PM with experience in energy infrastructure or someone between permanent roles who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality targets are met
- Manage teams across site and head office, including subcontractors, engineers and suppliers
- Oversee site progress, logistics, and interface between construction and engineering
- Support stakeholder engagement and compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Report on program performance, risks and commercial issues to internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects (BESS, solar, wind or transmission highly regarded)
- Previous EPC or principal contractor-side experience preferred
- Able to work on-site in regional VIC several days per week, with time also spent in Melbourne
- Confident, delivery-focused and capable of leading a fast-paced project environment
- Available to start within 2–4 weeks preferred
- 3 to 6 month contract with an EPC in the energy transition space
