About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated electrical professional to step into a Leading Hand / Supervisor role within the renewable energy sector. You’ll take a key leadership position on major solar, wind, and battery storage projects, helping to deliver high-quality, large-scale infrastructure.
Working closely with site teams, project managers, and subcontractors, you'll supervise electrical works from installation through to commissioning, while ensuring safety, quality, and timeline targets are met.
This role is based on a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster, with project sites located across the East Coast of Australia.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day electrical site works, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely delivery
- Coordinate and lead electrical crews, apprentices, and subcontractors on-site
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Support QA/QC processes and assist in inspections and commissioning
- Conduct regular safety briefings, SWMS reviews, and toolbox talks
- Work closely with project managers to track progress and report on issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records including timesheets, materials usage, and incident reports
- Electrical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician)
- Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in electrical installation or commissioning
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, construction standards, and site procedures
- Ability to interpret project schedules and drawings; basic understanding of reporting tools
- Construction White Card and valid driver’s license required
- Additional qualifications such as Working at Heights, LVR/CPR, or First Aid highly regarded
- Willingness to travel and work on a rostered basis across various remote project sites
