As the Commercial Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering large-scale, $1bn+ wind farm projects. You will manage upstream claims, interface with contractors and project partners, and oversee commercial performance on delivery phase.
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing multinational business in a permanent position reporting directly to the country manager and supported by a team of commercial and technical resources.
The main projects are in Queensland, but you can be based anywhere along Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. This is not a site-based role, but you will need to attend the project site regularly to play a pivotal role in driving value, mitigating risk, and ensuring project success.
We're ideally looking for a skilled negotiator with a Finance, Accounting or Engineering background and strong experience in energy, infrastructure or large/complex constructions projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead upstream commercial negotiations, including contract variations and claims
- Manage contract negotiations execution and performance monitoring
- Drive commercial strategy aligned with project milestones and risk appetite
- Provide regular reporting on commercial performance, cost forecasting, and risk status to the executive team
- Extensive experience delivering complex civil construction, infrastructure, power or energy projects
- Background in wind energy or large-scale renewables a strong advantage
- Strong track record managing upstream claims, commercial risk and contractor performance
- Exposure to both client-side and contractor-side delivery (desirable)
- Degree qualified in Finance, Engineering or Commerce
