I'm representing an experienced contractor in their search for a solar farm construction manager.
About the Role
I'm seeking an experienced construction manager to assist with forthcoming planning and execution of solar farm projects. Solar experience is not essential, however you should have successfully delivered construction projects through to completion (infrastructure, electrical, piling projects etc). You will be a good team leader, with a methodical approach to planning and delivery.
Initially there is flexibility to be based in different locations around NZ, but you will then need to be able to move to sites across NZ when it comes to construction delivery. The client will provide accommodation and travel.
Responsibilities
- Construction planning and selection of subcontractors
- Monitor on-site activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage site team, ensuring successful delivery in cooperation with the PM.
- Conduct regular inspections, manage defects, and oversee project close-out activities.
- Trades or Engineering background
- Proven experience delivering construction projects to completion
- Good communicator and team leader
- Methodical approach and construction planning qualities.
- Proven ability to manage site teams
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures and safety regulations
- Willingness to be based on site in NZ
- Flexibility around location when in construction planning phase
- Reputable company with proven experience and strong financial backing
- Secured projects in NZ
- Accommodation and travel provided when on site
