The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established and growing company that is at the forefront of the construction industry. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate estimating and cost planning for large-scale, high-profile projects. You'll work closely with a team of estimators and key stakeholders to deliver projects that drive success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the preparation and management of precise tenders and cost plans for construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry guidelines.
- Offer expert input during tender closes, reviewing risk assessments and margin decisions.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective strategies to address and minimize them.
- Conduct site evaluations to assess contract risks, gather essential information, and assist with data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with design, engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure all critical elements are reflected in cost estimates.
- Actively seek ways to improve the estimation process, optimize workflows, and adopt industry best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar estimating role within the construction industry.
- proficient in MS Excel, with desirable experience in BuildSoft, Cubit Expert Estimator, CostX, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
