Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Oversee and take responsibility for a team of four consultants, ensuring efficient project delivery and continuous professional development.
- Project Management: Manage the end-to-end delivery of environmental consulting projects, ensuring timeframes, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Technical Expertise: Provide high-level expertise in soil science, resource recovery, and groundwater monitoring, ensuring best-practice methodologies and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Field Work & Consulting: Conduct and oversee contaminated land investigations, soil assessments, and groundwater monitoring while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Client & Business Development: Maintain and grow client relationships, prepare proposals and tenders, and contribute to new business opportunities.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and regulatory compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Identify efficiencies, process improvements, and best practices to drive team and business success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (essential).
- Extensive experience in soil science, resource recovery, and contaminated land.
- Strong expertise in groundwater monitoring, including data analysis and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills in an environmental consulting setting.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) qualification (desirable).
