The Company

My client is a fitout and refurb builder focusing on Melbourne CBD office fitouts up to $10 million. They're a privately owned Australian company with that work across Victoria and New South Wales. 

They're located in Port Melbourne and have a total team size of 20. They're a close-knit team and would suit an individual that values being close to management and decision making. 
 
The Role

As Contract Administrator you will deliver multiple fit-out projects. This is a head office role working closely with the Project Manager to deliver the project on time and within budget.
  
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following;
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement of trades and sub-contractors
  • Maintain relationships amongst our clients and subcontractors
  • Managing RFIs, progress claims, variations and EOT submissions
  • Subcontractor management and preparation of tender packages, scopes of works, contract documentation and procurement schedules
  • Report costing, manage cash flow, negotiate payment terms with suppliers, and control overall project expenditure
Required Skills
  • Degree qualified within construction management or Quantity Surveying
  • Experience working within the new build space
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills 
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator under a head contractor in Australia
  • Working knowledge of tendering, developing, and letting of trade packages, cost forecasting and reporting and negotiating subcontract tenders
