We are seeking an experienced Field Hydrogeologist to lead and manage hydrogeology operations in underground mining environments. This role involves overseeing hydraulic testing, instrumentation installations, and other field activities, ensuring they are executed efficiently and safely. You will work closely with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes, fostering strong client relationships while contributing to project success.
Duties
- Supervise packer testing and Vibrating Wire Piezometer (VWP) installations in both surface and underground mining environments.
- Conduct face mapping and ensure data quality control (QA/QC) and reporting.
- Coordinate logistical support for hydrogeology-related tasks and water infrastructure projects.
- Recognize potential challenges, propose actionable solutions, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, driving successful outcomes and business development.
- Demonstrated experience in Australia’s mining sector, particularly underground operations.
- Proven expertise in supervising hydraulic testing and instrument installation.
- Strong ability to work independently while managing on-site operations effectively.
- Flexibility to respond to short-notice requirements and extend contract terms if necessary.
- Full legal working rights in Australia, including medical clearance for mine operations.
