The Opportunity:
  
Our client, is recruiting immediately for a Contaminated Land Consultant. Leading the delivery of environmental approvals across the region on multi-disciplinary and diverse projects, the successful candidate will work in a collaborative and driven team.

You will work with our clients to provide pragmatic advice and achieve practical and efficient outcomes. 

Key responsibilities of the position include the following: 
  • Develop our contaminated land management capability
  • Recruit and train contaminated land management professionals to grow our east coast contaminated land team.
  • Develop standard operating procedures.
  • Develop sampling and analysis quality plans. 
  • Conduct fieldwork campaigns including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, supervision of drilling, test pitting, and groundwater well installation.
  • Provide high quality analysis and reporting to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
  • Proposal and project lead for the contaminated land team.
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Substantial industry experience in contaminated land management. 
  • A Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Environment, or Science. 
  • A strong scientific or engineering background in contaminated land and understanding of scientific and engineering principles. 
  • CEnvP-Sc accreditation will be favourable. 
  • Desire to work across various industries and develop and grow our contaminated land business.
  • Experience with client relationship management.
  • Proven understanding of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging NSW and QLD legislation, standards, and guidelines for contaminated land.
  • A strong professional work ethic and commitment to the health and safety of yourself, your team, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Current driver’s licence.
