Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm.
Rates: $55-$57 per hour.

On behalf of our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer in South Brisbane, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This role is vital to ensuring the efficiency and safety of their electrical systems within a fast-paced, high-demand industrial facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical systems and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in industrial machinery, control systems, and plant equipment.
  • Test, inspect, and ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant industry standards.
  • Minimize downtime by responding promptly to electrical breakdowns and performing efficient repairs.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and recommend system improvements for enhanced performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to optimize system uptime and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements:
  • Electrical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent).
  • Current Electrical License for Queensland.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance electrician, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary.
