Procurement Manager – Melbourne – Renewable Energy – Contract

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join their team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement & contracts administration within the renewable sector, demonstrating the ability to optimize supply chain processes and contribute to the projects goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's sustainability objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, contract execution and performance evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement practices with project requirements and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the renewable energy sector.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports and forecasts to senior management.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of procurement experience, preferably in engineering, infrastructure or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to supporting renewable energy initiatives.
