About the Role

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to lead the preparation and delivery of estimates, budgets, and cost plans for civil foundation projects. In this role, you will be a key part of a high-performing team and contribute to the continued success of large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, industry expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams to ensure accurate and competitive project costing.

Duties
  • Develop, manage, and present comprehensive estimates, budgets, and cost plans for civil foundation, retention and piling projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project costing.
  • Analyse project specifications, tender documents, and schedules to produce precise cost estimates.
  • Participate in cost-saving strategies without compromising project timelines or quality.
Skills and Experience
  • Completion of a qualification in Estimation, such as a Certificate IV in Building Project Support (Estimator) or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 + years experience as an estimator within the civil construction industry, or 3+ years as a Senior Estimator. 
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of TMR road specifications and piling requirements for road projects to ensure compliance and accuracy in cost estimates.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a commitment to quality.
