Our client's projects span across various industry sectors, with a strong emphasis on Tier 1 construction projects in collaboration with Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW).

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to head their Quality Assurance (QA) department. This role will be crucial in ensuring that projects meet all regulatory and client standards. You will be responsible for leading QA initiatives, managing subcontractor relationships, and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance and support to ensure all quality assurance processes are effectively implemented.
  • Develop and implement QA plans, policies, and procedures in line with Australian Standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee quality control inspections and audits for projects, ensuring compliance with TfNSW requirements.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to quality and safety standards on Tier 1 projects.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing any quality-related issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present QA reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, contributing technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance.
  • Proven experience working with subcontractors on Tier 1 projects, specifically within the TfNSW framework.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards related to shotcrete and anchoring and/or relevant services.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail and quality.
