Salary: Circa $50ph + Overtime

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
5 Weeks Holiday Entitlement
12x Public Holidays time back in Lieu or Paid

Job Summary: The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment within the client's facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in an industrial setting.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to support overall facility maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification as a mechanical fitter.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance fitter role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
