Role Overview:
- Setting up and operating various drilling methods, including: Solid Stem Auger Drilling / Sonic Drilling to depths of up to 100m
- Continuous sampling using windowless sampling equipment
- Concrete coring
- In situ testing, such as Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) and undisturbed push tubes
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on drilling rigs and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in the installation of new drilling equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Provide on-site support during drilling operations, including equipment setup, operation, and dismantling
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Groundwater standpipe and vibrating wire piezometer installations
- Ensuring geotechnical logging meets industry standards (AS1726)
- Drill Fitters with mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining or repairing drilling rigs or similar equipment. Specifically looking for experience in the Geotechnical Field
- Offsiders with manual labour experience in the construction or drilling sectors are well-suited for this role.
- Geotechnical Drillers with direct drilling experience in the geotechnical, environmental, or civil sectors will be highly regarded. Candidates with experience in the geotechnical engineering field.
- Valid car driving licence
- OH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Unrestricted MR or HR Truck Licence
- Excavator Licence with relevant experience
- Prior experience in Geotechnical drilling will be highly regarded
