Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth and strengthen relationships within the Civil and Building Construction market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with subcontractors in piling, concrete, reinforcement, equipment, or formwork, along with exceptional relationship management and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry, including builders, estimators, and senior managers.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the director on the sales pipeline and market insights.
- Drive business development efforts to achieve targets and deliver results.
- Utilise strong customer service, negotiation, and closing skills to maximise sales and margins across the East Coast.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and opportunities for growth.
- Develop proposals and deliver engaging presentations to potential clients.
- Monitor and develop pricing strategies and quotations for project tendering.
- Coordinate all business development functions within the company.
- Manage and enhance our digital marketing efforts.
- Liaise with estimators and senior managers to maximise sales to customers and projects.
- Relevant Tertiary qualification in business or management.
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role within the construction industry.
- Experience in the Civil and Building Construction market, particularly in areas related to piling, concrete, reinforcement, and/or formwork.
- Highly developed relationship management, business development, and sales skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve targets and deliver results.
- Excellent customer service, negotiation, and closing abilities.
- Strong skills in developing proposals and delivering presentations.
- Ability to conduct thorough market research and identify new opportunities.
- Proficient with MS Office and CRM software.
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
