Position Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead a high voltage and medium voltage products division targeting the utilities and renewables market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and expanding market presence in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and understand renewables and utility customer market by gathering data on markets, competitors, technologies, and trends
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the utilities and renewables sector
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and engineering to align offerings with customer needs
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to executive leadership
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies
- Electrical background, either from trades, prior sales experience or education qualification such as degree
- Hands on experience within electrical trades industry OR proven track record of success in related electrical industry
- Understanding of the renewables sector (solar, wind, BESS), including knowledge of key players, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and driving business growth
