We are seeking a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to become a vital part of our client’s expanding team in Western Sydney. You will work closely with Senior and Principal Geotechnical Engineers, gaining invaluable experience in a vibrant and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations and compile engineering logs of subsurface soil and rock in accordance with AS 1726:2017, developing Geotechnical models to characterise sites.
- Organise and oversee field investigations, managing various subcontractors (including drilling and service locator teams) to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Inspect and assess construction sites for earthworks and footing excavations.
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations at all times.
- Utilise software such as QGIS, SlopeW, and Circly for project analysis and solution development.
- Prepare project proposals by defining investigation scopes to meet client objectives.
- Create tailored Geotechnical reports that inform clients about site conditions, risks, and design opportunities.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- A genuine passion for Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, and Groundwater.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to colleagues and clients.
- A proactive learning attitude and adaptability to new challenges.
- A positive, can-do spirit and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team.
- An enjoyment of outdoor work, with a flexible approach to site operations.
- Ambition for career progression and a desire to mentor others in the future.
- A valid full driving licence (class C).
