Position Overview
Due to company growth, our client is looking to add a mid-level/ senior Estimator to help take on more work with their current clients. You would sit in a total office team of 15, and site time of 10.
This position would suit an Estimator looking to join a smaller commercial construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine the scope of work.
- Conduct material take-offs and quantify required materials.
- Source and obtain pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyse costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess project requirements and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
- Monitor market trends and maintain knowledge of current pricing.
- Degree-qualified in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience working on similar complex fit out projects.
- A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the role. Preferably 10 plus years’ experience
- Experience with Tier 3 New Build projects but open to doing both new build, fitout and refurb projects.
- Ability to accurately measure elements and trades to reflect project requirements.
- Work under pressure to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Total package paying between $130,000 - $180,000
