About the Role

Responsible to direct, coordinate and control the work and manoeuvres of the high voltage equipment and MV lines of Macintyre substations. This will be achieved through the programming and allocation of resources, defining and establishing the company's policies, ensuring maximum efficiency of the installation, compliance with business objectives and guaranteeing the best safety conditions for people and the facility, preserving the environment, and ensuring an efficient operation for the extension of the useful life of the asset.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Acciona Energy safety policies, QSE standards, and oversee adherence by collaborating companies.
  • Direct and supervise high-voltage activities for proper equipment operation, including substations and HV/MV lines.
  • Adapt preventive maintenance according to legal and operational requirements; perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Implement predictive maintenance, contribute to contingency planning, inventory management, and spare parts budgeting.
  • Provide technical support, conduct failure analysis, and manage documentation related to equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers for problem-solving and warranty issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to monitor equipment life, plan replacements, and extend equipment life.
  • Train technicians, define maintenance methods, and supervise oil sampling and electrical tests.
  • Participate in 24/7 call-in roster and audit contractor work.

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Foster good working relationships, work independently or as a team, and promote a positive HSEQ culture
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and communicate professionally with stakeholders  
Qualifications and experience:
  • Appropriate Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Disciplines.
  • Electrical trade must or be able to hold a valid QLD “A Grade” Electrical License (Essential)
  • Ability to maintain a HV Operator Licence (essential)
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years post trade qualifications.
  • Basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Current driver license (Manual Vehicle).
  • Capacity to undertake responsibilities in accordance with the ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System.
