About the Role
You are an experienced Energy Business Development Manager with proven record of originating deals, acquiring new clients and expanding project portfolios. You will map the Renewables sector project market, identifying new developments and securing new project opportunities with energy developers and investors, increasing the company's presence in the renewable energy transition.
You will possess a strong commercial / financial acumen to support negotiations where required, as well as help conducting financial analysis and feasibility reports.
- Develop and nurture relationships with renewable energy developers and investors to position the business as a leading supplier.
- Identify business opportunities across the NEM renewable energy project pipeline and craft tailored solutions to meet the needs of developers in the renewable energy sector.
- Stay ahead of renewable energy market trends and ensure the business remains competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and the global head office to align sales strategies with project goals.
- Maintain oversight of project pipelines, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of market trends and project opportunities.
- Prepare and manage documentation, including client requests such as pre-qualification submissions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Finance, marketing or related study.
- 7+ years of business development/origination experience and at least 3 years in the Energy sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NEM, the AEMO regulations and the renewable energy players.
- Solid technical knowledge of EPC contracts and renewable energy product specifications.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills and proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
