My client is a commercial construction contractor that specialise in projects up to $20 million. They're a privately owned Australian company with over 2 decades of experience.
They deliver high quality projects across the Victoria, in a range of sectors including small and large-scale commercial workspaces, hi-tech sites, education, gov, health, hospitality and industrial.
They have 4 offices across Victoria, with this position being based in Richmond. They employee over 100 people across all their offices.
As a hardworking and tenacious Estimator, you will hold the ability to deliver projects ranging from $1M to $20 million in support of the Project Management team.
Position Overview
Due to company growth, my client is looking to add an Intermediate to Senior level Estimator to help take on more work with their current clients. You would sit in a team of 10 other Estimators.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine the scope of work.
- Conduct material take-offs and quantify required materials.
- Source and obtain pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyse costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess project requirements and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
- Monitor market trends and maintain knowledge of current pricing.
- Degree-qualified in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience working on similar complex fit out projects.
- 5 + years’ experience pricing projects for a head contractors.
- Ability to accurately measure elements and trades to reflect project requirements.
- Work under pressure to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Paying between $120,000 - $175,000 + super.
- Healthy pipeline of unique projects valued up to $20 million.
